But I also stitched on The Road to a Friends's House is Never Long. I am trying to discipline myself to keep stitching on this even though the yellow border is ENDLESS. I really love the design, though, so I plow on. I stitch some yellow, then something else, then back to yellow again. I am nearly done with the more interesting parts, so soon it will be naught but yellow left to stitch.
Here is a detail of the little skier.
This Saturday, I am going to participate in a SAL where I have decided to work on an old UFO. This project has not seen the light of day for years. But my kids like it, so I have decided to pull it out of the mothballs and stitch on it on Saturday nights. Here is the before picture:
And here is a detail of the elf in the barn with the reindeer.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Wow, Laura, your WIP looks gorgeous. I like the look of your UFO too and am looking forward to seeing your progress on it.
I can see how all that yellow will get annoying but I am sure it will be beautiful when done.
You UFO looks very interesting.
Those are both cute. I look forward to seeing more progress on them.
Laura...love your little skier!
Thanks for the nice comment on my sock-knitting ability...alas I am finding that my skill is lying mostly in being able to knit some, rip it out and try again...this sock is looking a little ragged now. My "foolproof" instructions are proving to be anything but! Unfortunately the store where I got the stuff is not open again until Tuesday so I will have to wait until then to get straightened out ...of course I could always knit some more and improve those ripping and picking up stitches skills.
Love your ME piece...I love her stuff and a friend gave me this kit for Christmas (I haven't started it yet!) But yours looks wonderful and makes me think I should get mine out :)
What is your last piece, the UFO? It is sooo cute, I can see why your kids like it.
